In Gellerup in the western part of Aarhus 80 nationalities lives side by side. Tomorrow a multicultural festival, which aims to create personal meeting through art and culture, begins. There is mask theatre, comedy, dance, debate, music and much more on the programme. But the festival will also focus on the obstacles there is in Europe today – and in Gellerup where the gang Loyal to Familia is making and entry. That is why the police has introduced search zones in the area, and that has made many citizens uncomfortable. P1 Afternoon talks with the artistic director of EUTOPIA about, what art can do which search zones cannot.
